Been a while since I last updated my Tumblr, but let’s give this another try. On Aug. 12, my boss Alan Soon announced my promotion, just before I gave my presentation on our regional social content strategy. So yup, it’s official: my new position is Head of Social Content Strategy for Southeast Asia of Yahoo! Southeast Asia. As Smitty a.k.a. dreampipe said, I’m going to have to get bigger business cards, heh. I was in Singapore at the time, and Filipino blogger and journalist Tonyo Cruz called me up from Manila to conduct a phone interview and quickly publish this story on AsianCorrespondent.com. Thanks, Tonyo. Expect to see lots of exciting changes as we execute our plan for social content and conduct some “social engineering” — pun most certainly intended. Remember, it’s social + content, not one or the other.
